Oh, maybe some of the old ones do, and some may not be maintained very well. Generally speaking though, we’ve come a long way from the era of black smoke belching trucks that were under powered to begin with. They’re much more efficient now. My old truck back in ‘95 got 5 miles to the gallon and was pretty good on power. The new one gets 9 miles to the gallon and has power to spare. A lot cleaner, too.

I do know those rigs can really scoot nowadays. If they don't want you to pass them, you ain't going to pass them. ;-D
