IIRC Rudy Giuliani was lading at this point in 2007 and Newt in 2011.
And both McCain and Romney had solid double digit support at this point and were firmly on the leadership board. They were not down in the very bottom of the list. The “myth” being spun this season is that the single digit candidates can “come from behind” to win like Romney or McCain.
Too bad for the GOPe that is a myth.
They were not leading by the margins Trump is.
