The military and police go through intense training on responding as a unit to threatening situations. Yet STILL there are “friendly fire” casualties.
I can imagine the disarray in a classroom with a bunch of young armed students randomly responding to a threat.
But one could make the argument that the pros outweigh the cons.
Looking at the percentage of the general population that have a CCW license, then the percentage of that that routinely carries, the odds of having a “a bunch of young armed students randomly responding to a threat.” ks laughable.
Likely a couple of armed citizens in a group of 30, if that.
It is the THREAT that the perp might encounter armed resistance that is the deterrent. This is why thugs are empowered on gunfree zones, and more hesitant where they aren’t sure that someone may shoot back.
These murderers are cowards, plain and simple.
