I bet. This is why, in today’s world, I think it’s best to just not compliment anyone at work on what they are wearing.

My former boss was obsessed with what his employees were wearing. It was weird. Why even comment, and make an issue of it rather than addressing any concerns with the people you actually have concerns about? And, why even comment on how great someone looks (as a boss). It’s just weird, imo.

Bosses can be as weird as anyone else. They’re just like us and just happen to have a different position. Agree with being careful in the work place. Like big cities, the corporate world can be the worst venues for litigious insanity. They’re infested with the hyper sensitive along with other self assigned life long victims who’ll will strike out for even the most insignificant things.

It matters in sales and other public/client-facing roles. Other areas, not so much.
