First he likes the Mid East void being filled by Putin (Sept 30):
TRUMP: "Putin is now taking over what we started and he's going into Syria, and he frankly wants to fight ISIS, and I think that's a wonderful thing"
And now he states that we should bring back Patton, the foremost aggressive general of WWII? He's got to decide whether the US will be aggressive or stay out and be "diplomatic" about the US; he can't have it both ways.
Trump wants to be "unpredictable", but he's looking more confused then anything else. He's got to straighten his act.
It isn't an easy concept to digest. So don't feel too bad.
Pay close attention. And get rid of those pre-conceived notions...and you'll do alright.

Having said that when he talks about Putin in Syria Trump's saying there is not much we can do about Obama’s Epic Foreign Policy Failures. (Trump is responding to a question from MSM)
In Trump's stump speech (Trump is not responding to a specific question) Trump is saying he will receive advice from tough winner take all generals unlike Obama who takes his advice from Valerie Jarret.
