Good morning. It is apparent to me that the meme of the MSM and the left is that we should not even mention the shooter's name nor should we delve into his motivations and background. It is equally apparent as to why.
They do not want the focus on an angry black man who may have connections or sympathies to the black lives matter movement and to Islam. They have tried to hide the inconvenient facts and move on to the more general issue of gun control.
When you compare the current narrative to the church shooting in Charleston, there is no comparison. Not only did we learn about Dylann Roof and his racism, but we linked his behavior to the Confederate flag and made it a symbol of racism. It had to be removed from the public square and the statues of confederate heroes needed to come down and/or be defaced.
Many conservatives are seemingly following the MSM meme on Chris Harper-Mercer.
Agreed , except we’re learning these types crave the notoriety and “fame”. I agree with those who won’t mention the name. I’d love it if all media outlets used “the Roseburg Oregon shooter” and then expose his background.

I think you’re right about this bizarre “keeping his name out of the news”. Cause it seems, more and more, that there’s a pattern with these nutjobs....usually youngish male-18-30, usually doesn’t do well with females, got a lot of time on their hands....nutjobs...like I said. Young men got a lot of testosterone running through them, add some cockamamie organization seeking just EXACTLY these types of men....such as ISIS...”Black Lives Matter”.....Muslims.

They know how to operate a computer, they know how to buy guns....as many as they want....they scout out a place to shoot up....usually gun free zones. No matter all the publicity, these nutjobs are relatively rare. Just a guess, but if 20 million young men in America fit the profile of between 18-30.....it’s really only a few, a tiny few, who go out and shoot up people.
And there would be fewer if they’d stop encouraging them with this ridiculous Black Lives Matter which everybody is on to, and ISIS....people actively recruiting these types, often with the help of our own President.

When the shooter is not Left wing, all bets are off--make him a white supremacist and then it is the Confederate flag and redneck states who are to fault (To the point that some insane Leftist rag writers suggested rekindling the War Against Southern States--known to most as the US Civil War).
