‘’Donut tip..
Have some 1-3 day old Krispy Kreme donuts you were going to toss?
Stick them in the toaster oven. Toast til blackened on top. Eat w/ knife and fork. Almost better than fresh.’’
No, Dahling. That’s not how you do it. A little butter (butter, not margarine) in a skillet. Turn the burner up according to how fast you want your donuts. When the butter starts to sizzle, put 2 glazed donuts (they’d have to be *really* bad to screw this up)- or 3, if the skillet’s big enough. When the sugar glaze starts to melt, flip them over & do the other side. You only need a fork- no knife. And a plate.
Don’t forget to take your skillet off the burner while you eat because you’re probably going to want another one.
Mercy!
(We hunted down a DD yesterday- after seeing this story, to celebrate a happy vet trip. They’re not what we remembered. Oh well. The possums were probably happy.)
Whoa! Never thought of that. Kinda similar end results. Brullee top. Gotta try that.
