The father of the gunman who killed nine people at an Oregon community college before turning a gun on himself said the shooting would not have happened if his son would not have been able to amass so many weapons.
The only thing I would like to say is a question that I would like to ask is how on earth could he compound 13 guns? How could that happen? They talk about gun laws, they talk about gun control but every time something like this happens they talk about it and nothing is done, Ian Mercer told CNN. Im not trying to say thats to blame for what happened but if Chris had not been able to get a hold of 13 guns, it wouldnt have happened. Ian Mercer also said he had no idea his son had any guns, let alone more than a dozen. Authorities recovered an additional weapon at the shooters home, bringing the total to 14.
Although Ian Mercer said he wouldnt comment on any psychological issues his son was facing, he also noted that obviously someone who goes and kills nine people has to have some kind of issue.....

“banning of 1968 Oldsmobiles”
ROFL... That’s a good one.
My daughter has some OCD issues and anxiety issues. Just recently she got started on shooting shotgun sports. I was a bit leery letting her go with me the first time, as the OCD tends to make her a perfectionist, and trying to shoot little clay targets at 30 mph does not lend itself to perfection! But she is really good at it.
And what amazed me is that she doesn’t let it get to her if she misses. With other stuff in life she can’t stand making mistakes. Last week we spent time at a couple of difficult sporting clay stations. At the one she went 2 for 20. Then she figured something out, and we left after she got 8/10 or something.
It is great therapy for her. Although in all the tests they did, violence and suicide were not an issue - so obviously that would make a difference.
What is odd with this nutcase and his mom, if they spent so much time together at the range (and travel time), and lived in a small apartment, one would think they would pick up on some signs?
One of our adult sons has OCD, and he is an accomplished hunter with fire arms and his compound bows.
His OCD makes him a very safe hunter and a strick stickler re gun safety at home, hunting and any place guns are.
His medications might be Nasacort or Allegra during allergy season. He will not hunt with anyone who takes CNS drugs or abuses alcohol or needs a drink while hunting.
OCD is not Aspergers or some other dangerous mental disorder.
“His OCD makes him a very safe hunter and a strick stickler re gun safety at home...”
LOL. I can imagine.

BOOM: Trump SCHOOLS Liberals On How to End School Shootings
They Will HATE This [VIDEO]

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has weighed in on the shooting at Oregons Umpqua Community College and has a solution to the problem of school shootings that liberals will hate.
Trump points out that if teachers were armed they could have provided protection for those killed in the shooting. He also says that the only people with guns in these gun-free zones are the bad guys.
Everybody was sitting there and there was nothing they could do, not a thing they could do, Trump said on FOX. The police did a fantastic job getting in that quickly, but there was nobody with any protection.
Wouldnt they have been better off if somebody in the room, anybody, anybody, had a gun to at least help them out? Trump said. It was a terrible thing. And these gun-free zones are a disaster. Everybodys just a sitting duck.
He added that he believes shootings like this are more mental health issues than gun issues.
We have to do something about mental health. It is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. Certainly, every one of these instances with the school shootings and the movie theater shooters, every one of them turns out to be the same kind of a character.
President Barack Obama asks Americans to reconsider their position on guns. Obama, Hillary Clinton and other liberal gun control advocates are politicizing the shooting to further their gun grabbing agenda.
Conservative Tribune points out that Trump didnt bow down to the media pressure.
He wasted no time in stepping up for millions of Americans and declaring he would defend the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
They have background checks already in place, Trump said. That was in in 1998. People slipped through, and our governments not doing a great job.
Trump never minces words and once again, he gets straight to the point on this issue.
While everyone on the left seems to think that taking our guns away will solve the problem of mass shooters, what we actually need is more people using their Second Amendment rights as a way to counter these madmen.
We still have the right to protect ourselves from people like the Oregon shooter and from a government that could turn on us.
Trump is on the right track. He knows taking guns away is not the solution.
Heres Donald Trump on Fox and Friends Weekend.
As Political Insider points out, Obamas Department of Homeland Security does not believe youd be better off if somebody in the room had a gun.
Instead, theyd rather you simply run, hide, and throw random items at the crazed gunman!
“Odd they are hiding the mother. Why does the media not want to talk to the person closest to the killer?”
Because she is black and bought the guns and then took him to shooting ranges without a fire control monitor, so he could shoot by himself.
She did this in spite of knowing her son had Asperger’s, which probably why he got bounced out of Army Boot Camp.
Guns don’t mix with people with Asperger’s.
Thanks,was not aware of this.
Good move by the owner/instructor.
Apparently his mother preferred to take him to firing ranges with lax observation of shooters.
Apparently, the Dad had a severe lack of control issues.
EXCLUSIVE: ‘Look at the a** on her.’ Ian Mercer, father of Oregon college shooter, was sued for sexually harassing a male co-worker at his LA bagel shop and creating a ‘hostile’ work environment.
Ian Mercer, 55, was sued for making sexual comments about customers and staff while manager of Noah’s Bagels in Thousand Oaks.
Brett McDonald filed the lawsuit in 2008 charging the mass killer’s father harassed, inappropriately touched and embarrassed him.
McDonald says Mercer massaged his shoulders, placed his hands on his chest, shoulders and waist’, court documents claim.
‘Look at the a** on her’: Mercer was also accused of making inappropriate comments about a customer’s ‘hot’ daughter
McDonald says when he filed complaints with senior management he was unjustly fired.
In May 2009, Judge Ernest Hiroshige dismissed the case against Mercer.
Ian’s son, Chris Harper-Mercer, opened fire at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg killing nine, before he died in a gunfight with police
