I don't believe I would have phrased it quite the same way, but I get his point and agree that it is a distinct possibility.
One reason goes beyond mere history. Modern conservatism, particularly juxta supposed with modern liberal socialism, is aligned with objective reality, with "truth." We need not simply hope that those who have set untruth on the pedestal might fail. They will fail, ultimately. My real irritation is not the descent into a dark age as much as how unnecessary it is.
The best antidote to globalism and the banality of what passes for "multiculturalism" is nationalism, and the latter does not sleep.
Is that a real word? How does its meaning differ from that of the word "juxtaposed"?
