A law forbidding her to run again is a Bill of Attainder and is unlawful.

Best they could do is sign her up for a consent decree. That would be legal.

Only if the law was passed to specifically apply to her. But the law the poster referenced is already on the books, and the prohibition on holding federal office applies to anyone guilty of violating it. However, it could be argued that it doesn't apply to elective office, only appointed and civil service positions.

He is referring to a federal law which states that defined mishandling of classified information disqualifies the perpetrator, presumably upon conviction of course, from holding public office.

The law is on the books.
