The father of the Oregon community college shooter said Saturday that he "had no idea that he had any guns whatsoever" and called for more restrictions as he questioned how his 26-year-old son obtained as many as 13 firearms.
"How on Earth could he compile 13 guns? How can that happen?" asked Ian Mercer, the father of Christopher Harper-Mercer, who killed nine people and injured nine others in the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.

Even with our arcane gun laws, it’s quite easy as it should be. If this sick turd had run down nine people with his car, do you think anyone would be calling for restrictions on who can buy a car? This is all about disarming the populus plain and simple.

True, I agree with you. But my issue in that quote that I posted was the father’s laying blame on the fact that his son was able to get so many guns, rather than expressing any sense of horror, remorse or responsibility. He might as well have come out and said that it wasn’t his son’s fault at all; that, in fact, he was just as much a victim of the evil gun manufacturers and lobby as the people he murdered were.
Uh, I thought he lived at home.

Wasn’t his son.
Shooter was a mulatto with a black mother and was born in the UK. They came to the US when he was young and mom married Mercer.
The man is a fool trying to allay the horrible crime his son committed by blaming guns instead of his evil son.
In actuality if you want to commit mass murder guns are not the best weapon if you know a little bit of chemistry and it does not take that much knowledge.
