Very nice town. Although I got routed off I-65 a couple years ago because of a crash and fire, and it had the worst traffic jam I’ve ever seen.

I live about 1200 yards SE of Winstead hill where Hoods HQ was on 10 acres

Mississippi kin killed there

Yankees were far from home been matched hard successfully and Hood was desperate

The result was like devastating

We place a wreath on the Mississippi section at McGavock every Christmas....loblolly pine

Most poignant were the Missouri and Kentucky men weary after four years and no home to go to

Cleburnes speech was spot on
