No.

Like Vietnam, because of narrow airspace and political reasons, there were narrow corridors for ingress and egress, and the time of the nightly attacks was well established. So, they were ready and they waited for the 117 to arrive in its corridor and open its bomb door and drop. . .kind of like turning on a flashlight in a dark room. . .can't miss seeing it. So, unlike today when we use satellite systems to ensure guidance and hits, the F-177 had to laz the tgt until the LGB impacted. This means the jet was 'visible' during the entire attack run. So, the SAMs were ready, looking in the right direction and launched when the jet became ‘visible,’ basically hit a predictable tgt with LO capability significantly reduced.

No.

The Serbs were able to see it when the bomb bay doors opened. The SA-3 detonated close enough to severely damage the aircraft and the pilot lost control. It went inverted and pancaked into the ground.
