If this is true (and it certainly seems to bode ill that the Pope himself has embraced counselors on a subject of popular note, i.e. climate change “science,” that aren’t even Christian) — by the time it says it wants to make nice with evangelicals, it will have sunk so low the (orthodox) evangelicals will not want that.
Church that was full of itself when being “Christian” will be full of itself when fallen.
Francis is, according to a Catholic prophecy, the last pope. Don’t particularly go for Catholic prophecies, but I wouldn’t totally rule out God’s warning them in that manner.
Assuming that the Moses to Pope mantle carries over, but supposing it doesn’t? Then our remaining resource is the Holy Spirit as confirmed in the Bible.
The Good Book is still Good and God could use folks who are willing to listen and be patient rather than speaking too loudly or quickly.
I’m sure if we listen more God will send us something to confirm the next right thing for us to do.
