Chicago already has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. If gun laws stopped gun crime, they would not have 50 people shot every weekend.
Criminals ignore laws. That’s what makes them criminals.
This is pretty much every weekend in Chicago. Baltimore is giving them a run for their money though.

Back when Chicago was The City That Works, Daley (the real one, not the sad sack who came later) would have the BLACK Chicago police out there cracking skulls within hours. Of course, now people have Civil Rights. Too bad the people aren’t very civil there.

Rahm needs to urge a fresh and more proactive approach to criminal control instead. That would have a much greater impact. However, Rahm is no doubt fearful of offending blacks who hate cops worse than they do the feral animals that are slaughtering their innocent neighbors.
More criminal control needed, not gun control.
Emanuel Rahm’s liberal answer is to ban guns, not to jail criminals.
After all, guns are too easy to get is why Chicagoans shoot each other up.
