Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is maintaining his lead in the GOP race, according to a poll released by the Pew Research Center on Friday.
The real estate mogul garners 25 percent of the GOP vote, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 16 percent support.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina are tied for third place with 8 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) follows with 6 percent, then former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 4 percent.

Looking back to 2011 and the numbers were moving to Romney...similar numbers but far fewer players.
Trump has this if he can bring up his unfavorables. His opponents know his soft spots and will goad him...he usually falls for it but maybe he has learned.
Bush is on the floor. Nowhere near the ceiling.

Trump’s base is low income earners who didn’t go to college and don’t go to church.
Cruz’ base is middle-class, conservative churchgoers who didn’t go to college.
Carson’s base is middle-class churchgoing college grads.
Fiorina’s base is wealthy college grads who don’t go to church.
Rubio’s base is high-earning, college-educated, churchgoing women.
Bush’ base is just RINOs.
Unfortunately for him, the floor is his ceiling..
