President Cruz will pick a solid conservative as his VP. Trump will pick whomever Trump wants and nobody will be able to do a thing about it because it will be too late by then.

Just who are these “people” you speak of? Sounds like an Opinion, but it isn’t a Fact without proof to back it up.
If you simply dislike Trump just say why and let people here either embrace or dismiss your concerns. Bringing some sort of Conspiracy Theory into this convinces nobody on FR.
I’m a Cruz Supporter BTW and I am hoping he will gain some traction after the 0% to 3% Candidates bite the dust. It’s a long process and I hope he can hang on.
Unfortunately, even though Cruz was the first one in, his numbers aren’t increasing and with that his Primary Electability will be in doubt. Remember, he is that Evil Right Winger that shut down the Compassionate Federal Government all by himself. Then he said Green Eggs and Ham on the Floor of the Deliberate Body, the U.S. Senate. LOL
The fact that both he and Trump are considered persona non grata by the GOPe Leadership, Democrat Leadership, Liberals and the Media makes both of them appealing Candidates to me.
That being said, at this point in time I would not hesitate to pull the lever for a Trump / Cruz Ticket. I think many Trump detractors underestimate Trump’s Leadership abilities.
He is far from the Clown that you think he is IMHO.
