I don’t think there were mass shootings like this back in the 1950s.

At Poe Elementary school in Houston in the 50s a man detonated a suitcase bomb on the playground killing several school personnel and at least three children. It seemed weird, because I had assumed this stuff started with Charles Whitman, but I guess that's not the case.
