Putin realizes it makes no sense to alienate Israel. Why? its the strongest country in the region. Perhaps Bibi on his recent visit to Moscow even made a deal whereby Russia would control Hezbollah.

Thus, Putin has a coalition of all players in the region (except Saudi Arabia and the USA - but who knows what the loser Obama is thinking) who see Russia as a stabilizing influence.

It is clear that the Russian leadership is far more skilled in handling foreign affairs (both military and diplomatic) than our leadership is. I wonder why... ;-)

Exactly, Russia and Israel have some common interests, and Israel will have to decide where her best interests are best served, and those are NOT the interests that Obama, Kerry and Arab "democracy" serve.
