Mother Gets Off Easy for Killing Pedophile Who Lived Next Door
New York Post ^ | September 30, 2015 | Rohan Smith

Sarah Sands was terrified and deeply disturbed when she learned that she and her five children were living next door to a sex offender.

Protecting her children, she picked up a kitchen knife and walked across the Canning Town estate in East London to where 77-year-old Michael Pleasted lived.

She was just trying to scare him, she said. But when he “smirked” at her, she was filled with a mother’s protective rage.

Again, not arguing with you. I generally agree with you. Then I not the sanctuary cities movement, and how mayors and city councils are getting away with Voluntary Manslaughter. In WA state, Inslee declared upon taking office that he would not fulfill his responsibility to enforce the death penalty.

As such, we have elected officials already choosing to interpose their own personal set of laws they are willing to enforce. They are already working extra-legally, and yet our recourse as an average citizen is limited to ONLY the statute remedies.

Did the elected officials not realize that by imposing their own set of unwritten laws they’d be inviting vigilantism as a reasonably expected reaction to their own brand of it?

Rule of law is the only way to go. I agree with you. However, the actions of elected officials make staying within the lines much more difficult, in my view.

Well I`m beginning to fear we are on an inexorable course to the worst kind of anarchy, revolution. But it sadly seems the intention of the uni-party and their big goober-mint mindset.

What really pisses me off are the sycophant party trolls who continue to insist on farting out their 'lesser of two evils' crap.

What has this mental illness known as 'the lesser of two evils' argument done to stop, let alone reverse the movement by BOTH parties towards this gargantuan federal monstrosity that has killed our Republic and threatens our very freedom?

It was this mentality that helped build the uni-party! The very uni-party which has brought us to our own version of that state of affairs in Europe which allows the kind of sh!t spoken of in the thread!

She didn’t run from her crimes. She didn’t try to cover them up. Her confession and her remorse played a big role in her sentencing Wednesday, when she was handed just three years for manslaughter. She could be out in less than 11 months.

Next week is less than 11 months.

She may have been protecting her children. But I think she went there with the intent to kill the guy (which is Premeditated Murder). Otherwise why take the knife with you?

If as she says, she just wanted to talk and the ped didn't. She could have just walked away if she didn't have the knife with her? But the smirk was the straw that pushed her to act.

I'm glad the perv is dead. But she should be doing more time than 3 years (18months?).

“I would advise against walking up to someone with a knife. lucky she didn’t get shot.”

Maybe here, this was in England where it’s rare to find a guy with more than one gonad.

In a FUNCTIONAL SOCIETY no person would have to put up with having perverts living next store, when they have kids. The perverts would be sent to a place where they were SEPARATED from kids.

...but then this is England.

Yeah, cos nowhere in the good ol’ US of A do sex offenders live near kids. Get a clue, this sadly happens all over, officials are stupid the world over.

If the UK isn’t functioning, god knows what the US is classed as.

What happens when someone who’s falsely accused gets murdered?

In this case, estate means a sprawling ‘council’ estate with hundreds of homes/flats across acres of land. Council or what youd call municipal. Owned by the local/regional council and leased to people for a modest fee monthly. Used by a substantial % of the UK working class. Can range from grotty ‘sink’ estates to older and very pretty, well maintained estates. Druggies and lowlifes in the former, older residents or young families in the latter.

Some people will live in one all their days and even move to another. Others will move out to private housing as children, teens or adults and usually never go back. Moving from working class to middle class in social terms, as well as housing terms.

Although it’s not exactly the same, I think the U.S. translation would, “the projects.”

“not this again”

I’m guessing you are referring to my comment about shooting a burglar and getting thrown in jail? And that it is wrong?

Anthony Edward “Tony” Martin (born c. 1944)[1] is a farmer from Norfolk, England, who shot a burglar dead in his home in August 1999. Martin was convicted of murder, later reduced to manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility, and served three years in prison, having been denied parole.

If your comment was referring to the gal going free and thinking she should not have - I don’t know. If that was me I would have probably done the same thing, but expected to go to jail for it.

Not the story. The husband and wife were from the Brighton area and it happened in the 80’s.

I won’t ague with you (too much) on that...we need ALL OF US in the West to WAKE UP and figure out that we better soon start to DEFEND our societies...because the ability of us to control our societies is QUICKLY going to end, if we don’t act.
