a senior U.S. official told Fox News early Wednesday.Who is this senior U.S. official? John Kerry, Joe Biden? I don't see any confirmation of this from any other news sources.

All those fools are cheering every inevitable development. They think they are ushering in a new, finally successful, Communist Utopia not realizing that the books those guys are carrying are not Little and Red but read from right to left.

Hey Vlad, isnt it about time to open up that KGB file on Obozo? Why "out" a career employee who can still do you even more good over the next sixteen months? They'll out him after he leaves office - if they ever need to.

I did see your #43 (please see my #53 lol)
I understand your approach here and under a different administration, and a president that acts in OUR national interest, that approach would certainly be valid.
On the whole warm water port issue, I believe it is the desire for a *Mediterranean* port that they have been seeking. Using Cuba’s facilities might be nice for vacationing Russian Navy personnel, but so far as force projection, even Moscow knows that the Caribbean is an American lake.

With what has been done to the Constitution, Jussein can declare himself President-for Life and get no more than the usual complaints in Congress about “stretching” and “overstepping” and then the Senate will ratify it 98-2.

Dont agree. We still have tactical nukes, last I looked.
You think that using tactical nukes in that theater of operations can be contained and will not be expanded into other regions?
If tactical nukes were authorized and used against any Russian target, you can rest assured they will respond in kind. You might think they would turn tail and slink away, but unless Putin is an abject coward, that won't happen. Even if Putin backed down after a humiliating tactical nuke defeat, you can bet he would be disposed of within 24 hours and the resulting Russian nationalism would demand an equivalent or greater retaliation against U.S. forces.
At that point, all bets are off.

ISIS is fundamentalist Suni. They want to out the Kingdom and establish a religious regime. They have support in SA from those tired of the King and his spoiled family.

True all dat.
However, supply lines are still long for a Mediterranean port. Logistics matters when it comes to force protection. ;-)

So, we let the Bear just take over this province and that defenseless state?
Ears has been doing that. A bad strategy.
The Bear is still hungry.

Aren't you rooting for Putin to succeed in minimizing the evil factions involved, reversing the flow of refugees, stopping the slaughter of Christians and stabilizing the area?
I am? If he does, we should compensate Russia and accept them as a partner that they have for 25+ years tried to be.

Vlad and Bibi met in Moscow last week and agreed on Syria tactics and sharing Intel on attack flights against ISIS. I reiterate, Bibi and Vladimir both hate Obama and ISIS. They are working together here. Vladimir and Bibi get along.
