Kelly Gissendaner, the only woman on Georgia's death row, was executed early Wednesday, authorities said.
The execution came after Georgia's Supreme Court, the U.S. Supreme Court and a federal appeals court all denied requests for a stay of execution.
Gissendaner, who was convicted of orchestrating her husband's murder almost 20 years ago, died by lethal injection at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday.

“She should have taken the plea deal.”
That was TWENTY YEARS ago!! I wonder if she even remembered what she was in for after all these years. 20 years is way too long. Unless of course one never knew when they would get called down to the chair. That's how they should do it.
Watch Bob down the aisle get taken out of his turn for lunch after only a few weeks in. “Okay Bob - it's time for the execution.”
Or for Hank, after three years, instead of opening the door for exercise time he is picked up for the chair.
Just never knowing when that cell door opens - it might be the end.

Not easy with Capital Punishment. Also not trolling.

Gissendaner, who was convicted of orchestrating her husband's murder almost 20 years ago, died by lethal injection at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday.They would have gotten rid of her quicker if they had just given her 10 years for murder and then given everybody in the neighborhood her address when she got out.
DANG!

Why is it women that still get paid less than men for doing the same work? ~Hillary Clinton
I agree with the beast. Women should be treated like equals. If they earn the death sentence they should receive it.

That was a whopping big mistake on her part. Her accomplice, her boyfriend who was the actual triggerman, will be eligible for parole in 2022.

Actually, that is how it’s done here in Japan (gallows);
The people sentenced to death have NO idea (whether it is days or years) until they come to get them out of their cell. Not even the family members know until after the fact.
