I dislike the man intensely, so I have to wonder if I am biased in this observation. He was marketed as the ‘smart one’ in the family... Is it just me, or do others find his comments, delivery, and demeanor to indicate a decidedly low end mediocre intellect?

This accusation was thrown at W quite a bit, but I never saw it. Displays of hubris and ignorance yes, but not a dullard; indeed rather shrewd at times, and sincerely dedicated to what he conceived as the best course forward.

But Yeb... He just comes across as a dullard in all circumstances at all times. Has anyone been around him? I find that these people in the flesh come across very differently than media impressions.

I dislike him too. But I voted for him twice here in Florida. He was an adequate governor, mostly he handled the state well during the summer we had 3 hurricanes.

He’s just ...a nice guy. But not an inspired man. He’s so tied to his vision of how immigration SHOULD be (act of love) that he is unable to see how it IS. I have no idea what made him decide to run. I don’t believe he wants it.
