Western naval sources reported Friday that a Chinese landing craft, the Jinggangshan, with a 1,000-strong marine battalion had reached the Red Sea en route for the Mediterranean off Syria. According to DEBKAfile, Beijing has already deployed a number of warships opposite Syria in secret. If the latest report is confirmed, this will be the largest Chinese deployment in the Middle East in its naval history.

Nothing about a Chinese aircraft carrier being docked in Syria in the report from India, either. Since you are 0 for 2 at this point, I won't bother with your other links.

I don't understand why some folks here go to such links to try to support Debka, given their track record.

Russia’s there - there are pictures of of the planes on the ground and in the air. Not clear what the extent of the boots on the ground will be.

And China does have some limited naval assets in the Med. Remember, they deployed a ship to Libya a few years ago, and were able to send a ship to evacuate innocents from Yemen when the US couldn’t or wouldn’t. An amphib might be believable - they generally send smaller ships - but the carrier story strikes me a pure garbage.

My response was post #44.

Now you can get into semantics about what Chinese military is doing, but I think it’s pretty obverse the Chinese military is there.

If they have one aircraft carrier or not is simply a distraction issue from the main point that the Chinese military is there.

I recall when it was first reported on Free Republic of Russia moving into Syria. Many people were saying Debkafile was B.S., and Debakfile was full of it.

Well 2 months later it turns out to be the truth. I don’t know why you wait for the MSM to confirm it?They are certified on the record liars and deceivers.

And guess what? If this is bull, then it will come out in 2 months. However, I don’t doubt it.

It’s just like the baby harvesting too. People were saying it’s “conspiracy theory”, and it turns out to be the truth.
