A local chapter of activist group Black Lives Matter is planning on stopping Twin Cities Marathon runners from crossing the finish line.
According to a WCCO report, the protesters will form a physical barrier of people to stop runners in their tracks.
Protesters told the station that the marathon is a good place to cause peaceful disruption.
Some who plan on running the race said on Facebook that they were angered by the planned protest, saying it might lead to violent encounters.
The protest is organized for Oct. 4 at a park about half a mile from the race's finish line.
Marathon officials said they are aware of the planned protest and are working with city officials to ensure everyone's safety at the event, according to a Minnesota Public Radio report.
Black Crime Matters, so do black lies. Stop committing crimes idiot and get a job.
I doubt it..
You dislike marathon runners?
So spoiled American blacks will try to stop Kenyan from winning the race?
Give each runner a can of hot pepper bear spray, the one that shoots 30 feet. Aim for the face.
Water hoses and German Shepherds are much more effective.
I just figured that since Boston the area at the end of the run would be barricaded off and access restricted. I did a 60 mile walk once and as we neared the last block the barriers came up until there was no one near us except the volunteers who had access tags.
I have a better idea. They should go to the headquarters of the Hells Angels and pour water into the gas tanks of all the motorcycles sitting outside. This would be an excellent way for them to get the attention they are craving.
What a way to make friends and influence people.
The runners could easily win this one without resorting to weapons. Have all the runners do the run as normal but stop short of where the protesters are lined up.
Have the fastest runners wait until the rest get there. Then all the runners sprint as fast as they can at the same time and run over all of these protesters like a battering ram. The runners can then proceed onward to the finish line.
Red rover, red rover send the runners right on over!
Good. It’s mostly liberals running. Let them reap what they sow.
The vermin of color sure don’t understand the endurance athlete mentality.
They’re fit, they’re motivated, they have trained in some cases for YEARS for this opportunity, and they didn’t get all that done by giving up easily.
I hope some BLM asses get kicked severely. Blood and teeth on the ground would be a good start.
Will BLM be equal opportunity disruptors or will they only stop white runners?
Most of the front runners will be Kenyans. Hand them machetes and spears. The BLM crowd will run.
Good point.
Some runners like some bicyclist are very Lib’ish and if not giving up the # 1 2 3 slot will probably sympathize and join in.
Now being a lib and if in the 1 2 3 slot they will give up the lib mantra and be very synthetically pissed off.
Till they get home
No. I had it explained to me once that since the "minority" groups have been suppressed all these centuries, whatever they do, such as reverse racism, is okay.
Howz that for the work/words of the evil adversary?
Annually, more than 500 marathons are organized worldwide.[2] Some of these belong to the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) which has grown since its foundation in 1982 to embrace over 300 member events in 83 countries and territories.[41] The marathons of Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, New York City and Tokyo form the biennial World Marathon Majors series, awarding $500,000 annually to the best overall male and female performers in the series.
In 2006, the editors of Runner's World selected a "World's Top 10 Marathons",[42] in which the Amsterdam, Honolulu, Paris, Rotterdam, and Stockholm marathons were featured along with the five original World Marathon Majors events (excluding Tokyo). Other notable large marathons include United States Marine Corps Marathon, Los Angeles, and Rome...
