Between 2 personal exemptions and the standard deduction, we can have an Adjusted Gross Income of about $20,000 and have very little taxable income. Trump’s plan increases that to $50k for 2 people..
That’s not true
On straight $50k for a married couple filing joint, Federal is $6,578. So it definitely would help a lot of people. That is around $525/month. In some areas of the country, that is a house payment.
