Look, I’m not opposed to a “living” wage, or a minimum wage for beginners and/or for seniors needing extra change. Taxation by sales tax for these in need and on low income is a contribution, perhaps even greater than when you leverage that against what you yourself pay.
Thankfully, Trump gets the picture. Otherwise, these people can not afford to draw a paycheck, so they go on relief. Go figure.
Also, this is just federal tax. These people aren’t exempt from local taxes, property and school taxes, sales tax, etc.
