The dates right up there just below the title in the normal spot for every FR post.

Secondly, we have to hold the Chambers to run things during a GOP Presidency. That’s done by maintaining your current membership and expanding it where possible. A lot of voting decisions need to go to that alone.

Then there are the conservative votes. Things that move the ball forward incrementally. We’re not a parliament and that’s a good thing. Slow and steady wins the race and we’ve been winning against all odds for a long time now.

“I can’t help but notice that under Boehner — and largely because of Boehner, because Boehner outsmarted President Obama in the 2013 budget negotiations — federal spending has declined over a five year period for the first time since the post World War II cutbacks. And because of this, as the economy has struggled to a sputtering recovery despite Democrat mismanagement, the deficit has been sharply reduced…

Also under Boehner — and also largely because of then-minority leader Boehner (and the likewise much-maligned-by-conservatives Mitch McConnell in the Senate) — the disaster of Obamacare is 100% attributable to the Democrats. It hasn’t got a single Republican fingerprint on it.”

Could Boehner fight better and harder. Sure, but keep in mind that we’re up against a billion dollars a day in free media for liberalism. I think we’re doing pretty well.

Obama’s been forced into a lot of concessions, but the Imperial Executive is extremely powerful.

You seem to ignore in your posts the one Constitutional power that the Boehner/McConnell crowd has but won’t use. Namely, the so called “power of the purse”.

“Peremptory Surrender” as CRUZ put it is cowardly and dishonest. That’s what most of us are pissed off about. Shut the GD government down!!!! The “E’s can’t even discuss that honestly! Quit being scared of the press!

Who writes the RNC talking points.

I guess you were quoting an article at PJ Media.

Yet it is pretty much word for word what Michael Medved says everyday.

It’s just silly to quote or debate a politician’s press release in this case IMO.

Something constructive to consider is McClintock’s statement on Boehner’s election last January:
https://mcclintock.house.gov/newsroom/press-releases/statement-by-congressman-tom-mcclintock-on-the-election-of-the-house-speaker

“I am disappointed in Mr. Boehner’s leadership of the House and have expressed my concerns on many occasions. But shifting this decision from the House Republican Conference to the House Floor opens a Pandora’s Box. ..
Conservatives should beware. On its worst day, the collective judgment of the Republican majority is much more conservative than that of the overall House membership. Shattering Republican unity in the election of Speaker is not likely to end with a more conservative alternative, but rather with a coalition of the most liberal House Republicans and House Democrats.
This happened in the California Assembly in 1994. Dissident Republicans broke with the Republican majority on the vote for Speaker, enlisting the votes of minority Democrats in exchange for a wholesale transfer of power. Though voters had elected a Republican majority, this coalition effectively gave Democrats control of the Assembly.
The proper place to contest a Republican speaker is in the House Republican Conference. “

Of course the U.S. House is not California. But that lesson must have been very painful for him.
And there is now a possibility that RINOs may unite even more with Dems against a more conservative Leadership.
The media would, of course, extol them for bucking Leadership to do so.
