I posted this on another thread about this.
Richard Hoagland pointed out signs of water flow (dark stains that appeared on the inside walls of craters when the weather “warmed”) years ago, after the first MRO pictures.
He should get the credit, though not likely from the Muslim-centric NASA.

It won’t be standing water. Its too cold and the atmospheric pressure causes it to boil away as soon as its exposed. It could be vodka though.
