Cruz time in the Senate “not doing anything” is the best argument for him. When the odds are stacked against them, when every single one of your peers sees things differently, it takes incredible fortitude to stick up and fight for your principles. There is no way he could get legislation passed in a Congress run by Democrats and RINOs. The fact that he tried and never caved into them proves to us what he stands for. And we know that as President, when he does have the power, he will continue to fight for the same principles he did when it was much less likely he would successfully pass them.

If we have someone who has a track record of getting things done, it’s only a good thing if they are committed to doing things we want done. If they’re good at getting things done and they want to enact socialized medicine, then that’s not such a good thing. In his speech in Arizona, Trump said “sorry, conservatives” but he believes in universal medical coverage.

Whatever. I would be good with voting for either one, depending on what happens between now and March. I have probably voted for Cruz at least 3 more time than you have in the past. The thing all you Trump bashing people forget is that if it were not for Trump getting in, Jeb would probably be the one at 25%-30% and Cruz would likely still be at his 6% or so. There are some things I like about both guys and some things I don’t like. Trump did not vote for cloture on getting TPA for Obama and he did not vote yes on the Corker Iran deal. Trump also has not come out for a 500% increase in H1-B visas. Cruz has done all of that this year. It was once an easy choice for me to back Cruz but he is making it harder by the stuff he does.
