Simple, Trump is NOT the top overall conservative... which is the exact reason I would not consider him any time in the past. That said, he may be the top Fiscal Conservative though, we have not really had one of those since Reagan... The Republicans we keep putting in that wont stand up for what we the people put them there for, have changed me, I have been burned for the last time, I am done voting for career politicians. We need real leadership that wants to change the way Washington works, Drastic changes and very quickly to have any chance of ever making any difference after the last 7 years we have endured and scraped by in this currently propped up economy. I think Trump is the only person that has any possible chance of making any real changes to fix the problem and change the way Washington works.

Respectfully, I disagree in part. Trump has raised some excellent issues. But, as you indicate, he is not overall conservative- and if he’s not, he won’t fundamentally change the GOP establishment. If one doesn’t demolish the establishment, then although Donald may build his Wall (which is good), ultimately the COC, GOP-e will just bide its time and then build a thousand doors in the Wall. That’s what this establishment Politburo does. They will wait him out, and un-do whatever he had accomplished that was to the establishment’s disadvantage.

Trump isn’t ideological, he’s not a political strategist. He’s a business man. He will attempt to get his vision of things past the GOP-e, he might even dominate the establishment for a season, but he won’t take it out.

Cruz will- he’s doctrinaire- and his mission is to be for the constitutional Right, what Obama was to the Left. Yesterday, Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine siad-——

“We’re going to get new leadership in the House of Representative,” he said. “It’s happening because there’s a newly elected senator that showed up and started articulating principles that were consistent with the Republican platform.”

Now, of course, choose who you will-— but, that’s the reason I support Cruz over Trump.
