it looked dangerous or at least suspicious

any school administrator not questioning or banning it ... would be held responsible for not exercising due care to protect the lives of the children entrusted to his or her care

all the rest is BS or enemy agiprop.

If administrators seriously thought it was that dangerous the school should have been evacuated and the bomb squad should have been called to investigate immediately. Questioning it and arresting the student is not going to save lives, if that was their intention.

It was dangerous and suspicious looking. It was a stupid move on his and his family’s part in today’s times....I don’t care if the kid was green with antennas growing on his head and came from Mars. Try getting on a plane with it.

The “digital clock” looked more like a suitcase bomb than anything else, so it was appropriate to question it. Meanwhile, over the years, students have been suspended for obviously harmless things like toy guns, drawings of guns, finger guns, fish filet knives in their car trunks, and many others.
