are there any rangers that qualified prior to 1992 on the boards? i’d be interested to hear the differences in qualifications. going through the requirements, it seems to focus on personal endurance and physical fitness and not physical prowess.

my impression of specops warriors is that they are extreme specimens, then again that impression was solidified in the 80s. these were people that not only could do sit ups, push ups, and run for a few miles... but could do it while in full gear while kicking your ass.

i’m wondering because if the qualifications have changed from prowess to fitness, then women should be able to pass as they’re only struggling against themselves and not some massive object (like carrying a 200 lb log)

thoughts?
