Before everyone celebrates, my question is that Boehner resigns - so what? There are reported to be somewhere around 80 conservatives in the House, which means there are about 167 non-conservative Republicans. We are not going to see a conservative elected Speaker.
We can take satisfaction in seeing the alky turd leave, but realistically, we can expect more of the same.

There are a few dozen genuine conservatives in the House, IMO. The rest are careerists from safe GOP districts who are “conservative” for pay but owned by K Street on the big issues.
