That stoning area saw stampede deaths almost every year until the Saudis improved the area. From what I understand many pilgrims think you need to do the stoning at at a certain time so they all rush to get there.

It is worse than Disneyland in the sense that you have over a million people trying to do the same rituals at the same time. Imagine that you do to Disneyland and there is a specific sequence of how you go from one area to the other.
