The thing that gets lost in these little Trump tantrums is how they show--clearly, if subtly--that Trump is a big government goon who has no business running as a conservative.
As tasteless as Lowry's remark was, he made the comment on Fox News--cable TV. The FCC, of course, does not regulate the content of cable TV. To do so would be a tremendous increase in the FCC's power. Yet, with or without thinking, Trump sees something he finds offensive, and says that the FCC should fine Lowry.
But supporting and justifying this kind of vulgar language shows are desperate you DC trolls are.
The world is falling apart and you are concerned with Trump because he thinks there should be an FCC fine for using vulgar language?
Some of my dearest FRiends love Trump and what he’s doing and even I appreciate a great deal of the effect he’s having.
At some point though I started losing my enthusiasm - I’m just shaking my head in disbelief at his antics.
I just read a thread about how childish Obama is to remove the 12 year-old black conservative from following him on Twitter. How thin skinned, how immature, how ego-driven he is. And I agree. Obama is that and more. Yet Trump displays these very characteristics in spades , and he’s a hero.
So, when it’s our guy, these tactics are acceptable, praiseworthy and justified. When it’s their guy, it’s disgusting, evil, dishonest and tacky.
I detest the media, the pundits and talkers. I turned off my cable almost a year ago and am still amazed how little I miss it, but I saw enough of the Fox debate online to agree that Trump was targeted. I don’t mind him fighting back, I applaud it. I just can’t stand the pettiness that he shows. He seems always to react, rather than act.
Maybe someone will tell me I lack the sophistication to see his strategy. That may be true, but I still would prefer less spectacle, more substance.
Regardless, Lowry is a jackass. But that’s not news.
