My word. You just don’t get it, do you? The FCC does not have the authority to regulate content on cable TV. Does limited government mean anything to you? How about the First Amendment?
A self-described conservative Presidential candidate suggests that the Federal Government exceed its authority and fine a private citizen for making (tasteless) remarks on cable TV. And you shrug.
Like I said, it’s subtle, but Trump’s comment here makes perfectly clear that he is no small-government conservative.

I stand corrected haha.. yes you are right the FCC should not be involved in a cable channel.

Speaking as a former broadcaster myself, I can assure you that at some point in the upcoming 24 hours of broadcast news on FCC regulated carriers, FOX affiliates will carry excerpts of this rehearsed and planned Megyn Kelly/Rich Lowry attack on Trump. And if they do, they better be *bleeping* the offensive remarks or they may very well end up having an FCC inquiry into it.
It is correct, that the FCC has no current regulatory authority over cable programming. However the FCC DOES regulate over-the-air broadcasting and if you think FOX cable and FOX affiliates on traditional VHF-UHF bands do not share content, you are far more naive than you appear.
