You might have been right the first time....the police department has it and the family asked the school district...that’s why they can’t get it back.

Another story just popped up on the USA Today site about how the family is hiring lawyers to get the clock back. This is after the police department appears to have confirmed last night that they could come pick it up anytime . No mention of this fact in the USA Today story. Bizarre. I just can't see why they would think it's a good idea to draw attention to the clock itself with a lawsuit.
