Well H ... that's the problem with history and facts. They're stubborn things. And they are recorded for posterity such that you can't REWRITE them ....

Obama’s campaign manager at the time, David Plouffe, called the photo stunt “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election.” Clinton’s campaign claimed the photo wasn’t meant to smear.

Plouffe was reacting to a banner headline on the Drudge Report saying that aides to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) had e-mailed a photo calling attention to the African roots of Sen. Barack 0bama (D-IL).
