Exactly. The Clintons have always used the strategy of planting supposedly damaging revelations in the press, drawing out their opponents into a feeding frenzy, and then deflating the whole thing to make them look like poor victims. There are many, many examples. The proper Republican response should be:
“we've heard this, but at this point the chain of evidence has been so corrupted such that I don't know why the FBI would be wasting their time. We already know enough about her lack of judgment and willingness to skirt the rules and the law. Those facts were evident long ago, and this latest escapade only reminds us.”
That's my take too... would have been better if the FBI had just gone to the Chinese or Russians and asked for copies.
Next they are going to bring out James Kallstrom to assure the public that all the emails were found and clean.
And despite the older dates on the "clean" emails, the metadata for those emails will have datestamps that are curiously all dated to a late June day of this year.
