WASHINGTON (AP) — A government shutdown Oct. 1 could immediately suspend or delay food stamp payments to some of the 46 million Americans who receive the food aid.
The Agriculture Department said Tuesday that it will stop providing benefits "within the first several days of October" if Congress does not pass legislation to keep government agencies open.

Would a shutdown also stop foreign subsidies to Middle East nations? Maybe those on welfare might ask that. The Agriculture Dept under this administration would actually stop assistance to Americans but you can be sure our enemies won’t lose a dime. Too bad low info voters don’t question all the waste to enemies.
What if they DO pass legislation but it includes cutting government funding for Planned Parenthood. And then Obama vetoes it.

In San Antonio, they just launched snack packs 4 kids. They give free lunch kids food to take home so they don’t go hungry over the weekend. Basically, the schools are feeding these kids all their meals.

I was shopping a few days back and not enough checkout lines were open. Anyhow, the young woman that was ahead of me in the line was yapping on her cell phone. She was discussing with someone about a baby shower they were throwing and that they didn’t need to worry about food because two other girls had food stamps and they would by all the food stuffs and that they only needed to get the stroller.

From school referendums(teacher layoffs, no sports, no library, etc.) to the feds (no food stamps, close national parks, etc.), the tactics are the same. Threaten the most painful while neglecting the most wasteful. The first cut in a government shutdown should be Congressional salaries, WITH NO REIMBURSEMENTS.
The leftist media needs to be dealt first with if we are to make any progress.
Hell they use those damn EBT cards for beer and other goodies these days. No big deal as they will have plenty of food. .
