Seriously. Kidding aside. What is the functional difference between drooling idiots in front of a tv AND DROOLING IDIOTS IN A COLOSSEUM SCREAMING FOR BLOOD?
Mental blood/physical blood really is of little difference. And TV is more physical anyway. The thing is, we are collectively no more advanced in this regard than ancient Rome. The spectacle is all that matters. Not the result.

However, I have to agree with you. I loved Fox & Friends when I was on the mainland and I’m sure I still would. All the hosts are consistent conservatives and fun and you get all the news.
Every time I turn it on now, there is someone or something I hate. I don’t like outnumbered. They have too many women with shrill voices. At least Megyn Kelly has a good voice but I’m over her.
They were definitely pushing Carly yesterday but these things go in cycles.
I would really hate to have to vote for that annoying woman.

Well, I don't find his technique impressive, but so many FReepers seem to. It's almost like they've found someone who could descend to their level of namecalling. So, in order to have any kind of dialog with these people, I decided I'd employ the Trump-speak method. Therefore, the Trump-at-any-cost-and-everyone-else-is-either-GOPe-or-a-liberal-socialist people are Trump Toadies.

Fox and friends went right down since Hassleback came on in my view. It’s become like a Good morning America or the Today show. Too much cooking, cutesy feel good stories and hardly any new guests.
I used to get more news and good interviews on the show, but now since she has been there is has gone right down hill that I just flick over channels when I have time to see what is on.
Because, slipper, we are a tiny minority.
If you have been on Free Republic for a long time, you forget that there is a real world out there where people care more about the Kardashians than they do about politics.

If people weren’t watching them they’d be watching CNN, MSNBC or the mainstream news.

I watch Varney's show on Fox Business in the morning; and, I watch Special Report with Bret Baer, for my general news, in the late afternoon. I find Hannity repetitive.

I hate to burst your bubble, but if you had bothered to look at the pre-debate ratings for June and July, and earlier, you would have discovered that Bill O’Reilly routinely beats Megan Kelly by 200k to 500k viewers or more.

I hadn’t watched Fox since election night 2008. I turned it on the day after the CNN debate just to watch them trash Trump,(Cruz is not allowed to even have his name mentioned on Fox News) and boost Jeb and Fiorina all day long. Anyone who likes Fox is NOT a conservative, period!
Smart TV's have Internet capability and an OS (Android in many cases) so you can stream content from the Internet to your TV. It's not doing anything over the Internet when you're using that TV to watch content from a cable or satellite receiver.
