In theory, cable companies *could* gather this information, but the current method is far cheaper and just as good given the sample size used (and the occasional audits done to make sure things are still lining up properly).

I went a step beyond boycotting and cancelled my Direct TV service. I was a loyal Fox watcher until after that first debate. I’m thinking of Hulu for my favorite dramas. Anyone else have a Hulu subscription?

Another thing is that I listened to a replay of the last debate on the radio. Listening to audio is a completely different experience as we know but what really stood out is the sound of Carly’s voice. It is like fingernails on a blackboard to me. She has a slightly hysterical bent to the end of her sentences that is so annoying.

Thanks R&B! I am sure I’ve done the right thing. I hadn’t heard of Amazon Prime but I’ll check that out. I think finally the day has come when TV choices have expanded to a pick and pack type alternative to cable and dish. Really looking forward to saving that monthly money. I had DIRECTV as part of a bundle with Internet and a landline but I’m getting rid of my landline too!
