Senate Democrats on Tuesday blocked a Republican bill that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
The measure failed to advance in a 54-42 vote, falling short of the 60 vote threshold needed.

I voted for conservatives. My conscience is crystal clear.
The democrats have vowed to give the fangtooth feminazis everything they want, in return for votes and campaign cash.

What is one to conclude-— for christians the spilled precious blood of Jesus is sacred sanctified redemption.
For evil leftists the spilled blood of aborted babies is their right to precious political power.
A whole lotta weeping and gnashing of the teeth come Judgement Day.
CORRECTION:
Four Senators did not vote:
Boxer
Murkowski
Murray
Warner
Warren voted No.
Already starting. Excuses flying now. Words mean things and “No matter what/Lesser evil” means ‘anything to get me what I want/evil at my preferred level is acceptable”.
The Dems are what they are. The real evil are those that knew better and simply didn’t care.
Most Demonrats (including Hildebeest) support abortion up to 9 months so hardly surprising they would oppose an over 20-week ban.
Evil won. 70 million people willingly went out and voted FOR a guy that profits from the abortion industry, legislated for the abortion industry and gave his personal cash to the abortion industry.
Thats a historical fact.
THey should do away with the stupid 60 vote rule. Who decided to redefine majority? The Constitution says majority — not 60 votes. Furthermore, to compund the stupidity of the Senate rules, they allow ONE proposal per year to come to the floor for a vote with 51 votes, so the Senators load that Bill up with everything but the kitchen sink, thus ensuring that it will be defeated, or vetoed.
Kirk (R-IL) and Collins (R-ME) voted with the Democrats to block the bill.
Well I think it can be argued that when ones troops, in such large numbers defect to the side of evil, the war here is pretty much over. Especially when more continue to jump ship by the day in this primary. And since there’s that verse about the road being narrow and all, I’d say God’s ‘predictions’ are sorting themselves out right on schedule. Free will and all.
Thats the brightest side of all.
Until it happens though, we still have to suffer complete liars telling people that voting for evil is a conservative value, dragging weakminded people down with them, and it gets rather tiring.
I predicted that we’d have trouble with the Dems in the minority... the use of filibuster had been rising, particularly in the 2000s, because people were no longer required to actually hold the floor... made it WAY too easy to obstruct legislation. I think that McConnell may be loathe to do away with it now, because the Dems may get the Senate back in 2016 (a lot of vulnerable Repubs up for re-election), and he fears losing a major weapon. If the rules were just changed to restore the holding the floor requirement, we wouldn’t have this level of obstruction.
Democrats believe it’s always better to kill babies. Unreal!
