Wisconsin governor Scott Walkers reported decision to drop out of the Republican presidential primary shocked at least one rival.
Holy cow, Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) replied when he learned that Walker plans to end his bid for the White House. As recently as April, a Cruz ally was predicting that Walker would make a strong bid in the Texas primary. Walker led the field there in February.
The New York Times reports that Walker will make the announcement at a 6 p.m. news conference in Madison, Wics. The short answer is money, a Walker ally said explaining the decision. Hes made a decision not to limp into Iowa.
The Washington Post reported last week that Walkers donors were getting nervous and wanted him to shake up his campaign staff. Many backers have directed their ire at campaign manager Rick Wiley, who some Walker supporters believe expanded the staff too quickly and has failed to calibrate spending during the summer fundraising season, according to the report. A recent count put the number of full-time Walker campaign staff at around 90, and there have been no cutbacks in salaries as there were earlier this summer in former Florida governor Jeb Bushs operation.
My point is that the candidate is responsible for the campaign, it’s tone, strategy and message. His staff is there to carry out his direction. If he lets the staff run those three things, he’s not a candidate, he’s a robot. An empty suit.
Kind of like 0bama. I think we have way too many of them in Congress, too.
Yes, we need to volunteer. I do, for a number of local races in particular. But the higher the office, the more “centralized” the campaign becomes, and the “operators” take over. That’s what needs to change.
.
You should ask to have post 31 taken down for your reputation’s sake.
That was so deeply dishonest!
.
.
Constantly!

.
He’s a Texan.
.
11 in the top debate is ridiculous. They should split them into 2 equal teams until there are about 8 or less. 11 and 4/5 is dumb.
What happen when there are 10/11 candidates left? 9/10 on one stage and 1 on the other? lol
.
Divide and conquer is alive and well.
.
No argument there.
LOL. Gotcha.
See post 50. .
Yes, I saw it later.
Holy Cow!
.
Hindu!
Not to mention Graham, Gilmore, and Pataki.
Those are Karl Rowe’s sludge-bucket split-the-vote-candidates set up so only Jeb can keep getting the nbr 2, nbr 3 position while voiding out each other conservative candidate.
and you just continue to show your ignorance.
I know what Mormon Missionaries look like, and Scott Walker looks just like one. All he needs is a skinny black tie and a black plastic name tag with Elder Walker on it.
So you are a Mormon, but Scott Walker has never been a Mormon. So that makes you an ignorant Mormon.
Looks like they cut Scott Walker out of the picture.
He was just to the left of the guy with the Yellow Tie.
Where’s the “skinny black tie”s. bigot?
Apparently those fine young men didn't get the memo about the skinny black ties. They got the short sleeve white shirt memo though.
bigot?
Interesting. I make the statement that Scott Walker, being the handsome young man that he is, looks like a Mormon missionary (nice handsome young men that they are) and you accuse me of being a bigot. I can only wish that someone would still think I was so young looking that if people saw me at their door in a white shirt and tie that they would mistake me for a Mormon Missionary
For the life of me, I can't understand how that would make me a bigot. Walker can't help the way he looks. He looks like a teenager. If he's old enough to run for president then he has aged well. We should all be so lucky.
