It’s incredible to us, because we’re “outside the bubble,” with an entirely different worldview. Some of it is upbringing, and some of it is choice: black people brought up in the bubble can choose to step out (Jesse Lee Peterson) while those brought up outside can choose to step in.
It seems crazy ... but being committed to an irrational and self-defeating belief system is, perhaps, the norm in human history, rather than the exception.
I understand, but how many children would you bury before you concede it isn’t working? I actually do blame some white people for this: Those politicians and unions (and members) that have returned us to the days where it is once again illegal to teach a black person to read.
