Cruz is a Constitutional scholar and lawyer. He's been studying our founding documents since the age of fourteen.
Either it is, or it isn't, legal for a Muslim to run for the presidency. It is. Acknowledging that simple truth is not "pandering".

I clearly NEVER said that.
There is a difference between LYING, PANDERING and telling the TRUTH.
The truth is this: anyone who understands that Islam is a theocracy in which religion and government go hand in hand would acknowledge that islam is INCOMPATIBLE with the United States Constitution and our form of Government.
That's not a lie.
Now, why didn't Cruz tell the simple truth as I just did? Answer that.
