I’m disappointed to see so many on this thread defend a point of view (not Cruz’s) that could be used to deny CHRISTIANS the right to run for public office.

I am a Cruz guy but he is incorrect here. Voters in America can discriminate based pon race, sex, religion, gender, transgender or eye color and nothing in the Constitution prevents them from doing so.
