Thanks for clarifying your statement, from your earlier remark about this being something that “Trump started”. It originated with the (likely) plant that brought it up - through no control of Trump’s - at the NH rally.
Again, he had no control, just as ANY of the rest of the candidates don’t have, over what gotcha/trap questions people (or plants) may ask.
There’s been a lot of back and forth about what Trump said, at a Iowa high school, in reply to a student’s question.
The student asked if Trump would consider a muslim, for his cabinet.
Trump, being the intelligent man he is, used the EXACT word that the student did, in his reply...
Trump: Would I CONSIDER putting a muslim-american in my cabinet? Absolutely! No problem with that. OK?
Trump trumped the issue, yet again! Now, not only did he prevent the MSM from having a gotcha answer, he answered as ANY candidate should and could....by only saying that he’d CONSIDER said appointment. This leaves the MSM with nothing to hold, except that Trump will CONSIDER ANY and ALL qualified Americans. Who can argue with that?
Cruz has only confirmed that Trump’s answer was the correct way to respond to this question. I applaud Cruz’ smart mind on his reply to the gotcha.
I loved when Trump said “I love the muslim people!” Again...just like when they tried their gotcha’s with the hispanics, and Trump said “I love the Mexican people!”, he nipped their absurd game right in the bud.
The MSM will try to keep this issue floating around the news, as best they can. Trump has already gone on - back to REAL issues and rising in the polls!
