Donald Trump's advice for high school students in suburban Des Moines, Iowa, is uncharacteristically wholesome: Avoid alcohol and drugs as well as cigarettes.
The billionaire businessman and Republican presidential candidate is also encouraging the teens to follow their hearts and do something they love, even if it means making less money.
"You represent so much. You represent the future. You represent something very important," he said.
Trump offered his views Saturday night in the parking lot of Urbandale High School as he addressed a group of students dressed in sparkly mini dresses and suspenders and bowties ahead of their fall homecoming dance. A social media campaign brought him to the celebration and hundreds of students, parents and others turned out to hear him.
"If you can stay away from the alcohol and stay away from the drugs, it's a big, big barrier that you won't have to work out. And it's so important," he said.

As to Ivanka smoking, there are plenty of photos on the web e.g.
more here. For her mother, Ivana Trump, I saw it mentioned today on the Facebook smokers' group C.L.A.S.H here.

My niece, who probably could have gotten a free ride at a good university got a 2 year welders certificate and has been employed 2 years....her cousin, my other niece...studied history and now is studying for LSAT...we’ll see who succeeds (I think I know already)
Niece number two has a hard road ahead of her. There are a lot of unemployed lawyers out there in the world.
And...the welder niece is a near conservative...her cousin? Not so much
Is she a union welder? I ask because skilled people are often natural conservatives but association with union hardliners can often sway the thinking of young people.
So he’s saying Huma Abedin still has a chance?
If you don't like Trump, fine.
But quit the tedious trolling.
It is unbecoming and illogical.
Trump said he would CONSIDER a muslim in his cabinet.
Is Cruz your man? He was mine too...until his campaign couldn't raise a pulse.
